Here’s a great song by a great musician, John Martyn.
While it may not be considered a traditional folk-style guitar, it’s a wonderful song! And to me, it really brings together a lot of what I love of folk guitar and singing. Plus, it’s a song a lot of people may not have heard before!
He’s got great right-hand style. Check out how he’s hitting the strings on (mostly) the 2&4 with the fat part of thumb-part of his palm. It sounds great! What a groove! (Also, I think he was looping in the 70’s – what?!)
