Guitar Lessons & Coaching -Ways to Learn Music Online

How I can help:

• If you have any questions, just ask me and I’ll try to give you an online answer.
  • Some guys asked about how to create Jazz Chords – I made this for them (Creating Diatonic Jazz Chords (and Melodies) from Major Scales)
  • Someone asked to make more lessons about tumbao and montunos, so I added a video and lesson – New Lesson: Tumbao and Montuno on Solo Guitar (E Major)
• Online video/email correspondence lessons
• Skype-style lessons (or Zoom, FaceTime, Google Chats, etc)
• Guitar Kitchen!
• I always recommend (to myself as well) to play along with music you love, whenever you get the chance.  It may not “work” at first, so be prepared to be patient.  But eventually it’s great!
• Private and group lessons/coaching in Washington, DC. Paused until probably summer 2021.

Skype/Zoom Lessons

If you’re so inclinded – I teach online lessons via Skype.  I believe that a lot can gained from online lessons.  

A big part of my lessons will incorporate recording the songs and concepts we are learning.

Video/Email Coaching

While I love playing with people and find that the social aspects of music are potentially amazing, recording can provide a way to learn about your playing. (Also, if you record your playing and don’t like it, please don’t delete it! Save it and listen to it later!)

Especially for developing players, recording 1-5 minute clips on a daily basis can help quickly develop fundamental good habits.  Examples would be developing a clear sense of time, intonation, rhythm, musical structure.

• Online video/email correspondence lessons – $15 for a 10 minute video, $10 for a 5 minute video
